Christina Daly
Chief Executive Officer
Founding Owner & Artistic Director

An Albuquerque native, Christina Daly began her training with Ballet Repertory Theatre before transitioning to the prestigious Virginia School of the Arts. Daly trained with VSA intensively on scholarship for two years, as well as with the schools at Kansas City Ballet and Ballet Pacifica. Upon her acceptance to SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance, she graduated high school early to earn her BFA in Dance Performance. Accomplishments during her college career include: earning a Minor Degree in Asian Studies, training at Taipei National University of the Arts, premiering her first choreographic work in representation of SUNY Purchase at New York, NY’s world renowned Dance Theatre Workshop, performing two featured roles for an original Dianne McIntyre work and graduating summa cum laude.

Following college, Daly launched her dance company, Sparrow Dance Productions, doing numerous productions throughout New York. Since returning to New Mexico, Sparrow Dance Productions has performed at The African American Performing Arts Center, The Wheels Museum in Downtown Albuquerque, Santa Fe Fashion Week annually since 2013, Zendo, Fusion Academy of the Arts, and Therapy Art Space. In the meantime, Daly has performed as a Senior Company member with Ballet Repertory Theatre and Festival Ballet Albuquerque. In recent performances with BRT, Daly was featured, with great honor, as Carmen in Alex Ossadnik’s ballet, Carmen, and as the Sea Witch in, The Little Mermaid.

Christina Daly’s joy and passion for her dance is further demonstrated in her position as the Director of Dance for Rio Rancho Middle School – the only full-time dance program in the public education system of our state. Daly is known for creating opportunities for the dancers of New Mexico whether by welcoming superior dance professionals into the performance company of Sparrow, recruiting young male dancers for Festival Ballet who may not have had the chance to pursue their dreams of becoming dancers otherwise, or mentoring pre-professional dancers in their transition into the professional world. She eagerly anticipates another incredible year with Rio Rancho Middle School and especially this new chapter with her beloved Sparrow Dance Productions.
