Announcing Sparrow Dance Productions' 2024 Nutcracker and The Land of The Sweets Trading Company  Auditions

Dancers are auditioning for The Nutcracker & The Land of the Sweets Trading Company to be performed on December 20th, 21st, and 22nd, 2024 at The African American Performing Arts Center.

AUDITION SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY, AUGUST 23rd, 2024

4:30-6:00pm - Students in Levels Ballet I or Ballet II OR Students from outside of Sparrow aged 8 -10 years of age *No previous Ballet training needed

6:00-6:30pm - MANDATORY guardian and auditioning students meeting with Directors on what to expect throughout the 2024-2025 Sparrow Dance Productions Season.

6:30-8:00pm - Students in Levels Ballet III or Ballet IV OR students from outside of Sparrow 11-18 years of age with minimum of three years ballet training. *If dancers do not fit this requirement, please attend the 4:30pm audition.

8:00-8:30pm - MANDATORY guardian and auditioning students meeting with Directors on what to expect throughout the 2024-2025 Sparrow Dance Productions Season.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24TH, 2024

1:30-2:30pm - Teen and/or Adult Beginning/Intermediate Ballet Levels *Please be prepared to stay for the 3:00-5:00pm audition should you be asked.

3:00-5:00pm - Advanced/Professional Adult Ballet Dancers and/or Movement Artists. Sparrow is a diverse dance business and is always open to collaborate with movement artists such as Modern, Contemporary, Belly, Flamenco etc…dancers *Please be prepared to wear pointe shoes if you have them. Pointe shoes are not required as there are several ballet flat and/or character shoe roles throughout the Nutcracker production.
