Mission

Sparrow Dance Productions’ mission is to target the needs of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and the greater Albuquerque area, using dance and collaborative arts, in all its mediums, to help heal community trauma, as well as encourage positive growth, via outreach, mentorship programs, and performance for all ages with all ages. Don’t just fly but soar. Don’t just soar but conquer.

Our History

Sparrow Dance Productions, a modern dance company, was originally founded in New York, NY in 2010 by Christina Daly. During Sparrow’s first New York season, the company performed at several alternative venues demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of Sparrow’s performers. Venues included the rooftop of White Plains, NY’s Trump Tower; Nyack, NY’s Olive’s; and two of Nyack, NY’s elementary charter schools as a part of an original Sparrow outreach program.

Upon returning to her native state, New Mexico, Daly continued her choreographic endeavors with Sparrow Dance Productions by producing freelance venue specific projects. Sparrow dancers have been spotted rehearsing along the Rio Grande River, performing at the African American Performing Arts Center, the Wheels Museum in Downtown Albuquerque, Fusion Academy of the Arts, and Rio Rancho High School's Performing Arts Center, as well as multiplle venues throughout Rio Rancho and the greater Albuquerque area.  In 2013, Sparrow began performing on the fashion runway for Santa Fe Fashion Week, becoming SFFW's annual runway dance company for six years running before resigning.

Sparrow Dance Productions is embarking on a new and exciting season. Each Sparrow helps to create a broader platform for the Company to express their passion for spotlighting socially relevant works, and living a life of service to the community by means of remarkable performing art and exceptional dance.
