Sparrow makes its world premier with its first full length evening production of An Evening of Happenings. Founding Director and Choreographer, Christina Daly, delves into the nitty gritty emotions shared amongst sisters along with the reliable flaws and consistent accountabilites that go hand-in-hand with growing women in her piece, "Once Upon What's Yours and Mine." A night inspired by the evolution of the wheel, set to the evolution of Jazz and Blues, and based on the evolution of the camaraderies amongst sisters...complete with silly dysfunction."

"Hey Diddle Diddle," makes its New Mexico debut with Sparrow Dance Productions in fall 2015. The show made its world premiere in Austin in 2014, where critics hailed it as "visceral" "acrobatic" and "stirring." The show has been re-staged and specially imagined for Sparrow dancers in performance at Albuquerque's Wheel Museum. Set in a film noir prison of magnetism, fate, and self-destruction, Hey Diddle Diddle asks questions about escape and re-invention. Five dancers conspire to escape the tides that tug them down, keeping their eyes on the silver moon they long to jump over. In five verses, Hey Diddle Diddle is a dance for lonely nights and failing heroes.

Sparrow Dance Productions is hosting a sneak peak to their first full length evening event scheduled for September 27, 2015 at the Albuquerque Wheels Transportation Museum. Three years ago, Sparrow had the opportunity to do a small performance at WHEELS which inspired Christina Daly to create a piece of choreography to fit the space specifically. Three years late, here they are raising money to make that inspired dream come true! The collaborations, efforts, and talents that have gone into this project highlights the strengths of this malleable modern contemporary dance company.

The Lixian Benefit Foundation was created by SDP's Direcctor, Christina Daly, in honor of her younger sister, Cathleen Lixian Daly. The mission of the foundation is to sponsor women who are pursuing their dreams by encouraging and empowering them along their journey through funding. One hundred percent of funds raised during these events, is donated directly to the individual selected annually. This year's event includes dance by Sparrow Dance Productions, spoken word by Hakim Ballamy, and live music performance by Sage Harrington.
